Several Valued Readers of Apology Index have asked, "Why don't you write about Paris Hilton?"

Quite simply, because — as best I can determine — Paris Hilton hasn't apologized for anything.

As we all know, Paris Hilton was busted for drunk driving and busted again for driving with a suspended license and did three whole days of hard time in jail before being remanded to house arrest. But nowhere in the blanket coverage of all this have I detected any hint of Paris Hilton apologizing for her actions. And I've looked.

Believe me, I'd love to comment on a Paris Hilton apology. This is a brand new blog. It is a well known scientific fact that nothing attracts internet traffic like Paris Hilton. Even better if you have Paris Hilton pictures, Paris Hilton nude pictures, or the infamous Paris Hilton sex tape on your site.

But I'm not holding my breath waiting for Paris Hilton to apologize. For that to happen, she would first have to grasp the concept of accountability for her actions.

That could be a long wait.
